Lecture 11 List

Note: The Protogeometric period, dated to roughly 1,050-900BC, saw a resurgence in pottery production, especially in Athens, and the introduction of such new technologies as the fast potter's wheel, the multiple brush, and the use of the compass. The concentric circles on this vase are a characteristic design that took advantage of both the multiple brush and the compass.
