Note: What is not made entirely clear in this diagram is that the term 'entablature' is used to refer to the area including BOTH the architrave (which comes above the capital, no matter the style), and the frieze (which may have triglyphs and metopes, be a 'continuous frieze' containing relief sculptural decoration, or be an 'open frieze' without sculpture).
