Professor Leon Lasdon holds the David Bruton Jr. Chair in Business Decision Support Systems at the Department of Information, Risk, and Operations Management, UT Austin. He is the author of several widely used NLP codes, is a co-developer of the Microsoft Excel Solver, and has published over 100 journal articles and three books.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Nonlinear Programming Algorithms, Software and Applications, and Large-Scale Systems Optimization.
