Current Position

University of Texas

Professor of Speech Communication
I joined the department as an assistant professor in 1980, was promoted to associate professor, 1985, to full professor, 1994. Before that, I taught Linguistics and Deafness at The Pennsylvania State University and English at the University of Arizona and the Arizona State School for the Deaf and the Blind.
