First Russian martyrs: Boris and Gleb

•Vladimir had (among others) sons Yaroslav, Sviatopolk, Boris, and Gleb. Sviatopolk kills Boris and Gleb to rule (1015-9), then is killed himself by Yaroslav (The Wise!). Boris and Gleb canonized as martyrs because of their Christ-like humility and acceptance of their murder (lamb of God).
