INSTRUCTIONS: For a part of three separate conversations, engage in the following behaviors and record your observations. DUE: November 23, 1999.

CONVERSATION ONE: Continue to talk or hold the conversational turn even when your partner is trying to get the floor. Do not let him have a turn for as long as you can.

CONVERSATION TWO: When your partner gives up or yields his or her turn, don't assume your turn.

CONVERSATION THREE: Get the floor (speaking turn) before your partner has yielded it to you--i.e., get it before the other has finished his or her turn.
