Student Population:   Grade 8 being introduced to German
Text: "Die letzte Chance, den 'Besenstern' in Augenschein zu nehmen"
Task 1:  (An introductory task, initially in English but as the base for subsequent work in German.  The teacher may wish to speak German and allow the students to express themselves in the language of their choice.)

Student Assignment:  Compare the title and subtitles with the map and speculate in English about what this article will talk about

Outcome:   Students match "Besenstern" with what they know about the comet Hale-Bopp (some may also note in the text, "Komet," "Schweifstern" etc.), recognize that the map charts the course of the comet between the beginning and end of April.
