     Which exercise more effectively builds on prior elements in the curricular sequence to fulfill particular sets of Standards?  Which ones, and how?

Exercise A:

Short-Genre Production, Grade 8

     Write a diary entry as if you were Frau Kramer.


Exercise B:

Short-Genre Production, Grade 8

     Write a short letter to a friend giving your opinion about Frau Kramer.  Tell the friend whether you like or dislike her, and why.  Comment on whether or not you would have acted the way she did, and whether you think Borchert knew people like her in postwar Germany.
