IN MEMORIAM
Mt Athos peninsula

Our late colleague Gareth Morgan wrote a book about his journey to Mount Athos in 1960. Copies are still available and might be of interest to those who knew Gareth and those who share his interests in Greek life and folklore through the ages. Find out more about Athos 60: A Journal of a Visit to the Holy Mountain in the Days of Its Decline by Gareth Morgan.

Left: Mt. Athos & the peninsula as seen from the Isthmus joining it to the mainland.
