(e-mail, snail mail, fax, phone) that you are interested in applying and
give me your mailing address. I will then send you an application
package, consisting mainly of a descriptive letter (four pages), the NEH
guidelines (three pages), and the NEH application cover sheet. The
guidelines are straightforward; requirements include, among others, a
descriptive statement on your part and two letters of reference. The
central point you need to address is what you would plan to accomplish
within the framework of the seminar and what you would expect to
contribute to it.
