The Bois de Boulogne

The Bois de Boulogne lies between Paris and the city's western suburbs. It is not quite a "woods" as the name "bois" seems to indicate, but it is a good deal more wooded than a typical urban park. Most importantly, it is vast: over 2000 acres (Central Park in New York is less than half its size). The Bois de Boulogne also contains two artificial lakes which offer rowboat rentals, as shown here.
