| Open spaces with no official purpose are extremely rare in the US. In France, such spaces are easier to find. Here between St. Eustache and Les Halles is a large paved area surrounded by grass with a sculpted head in the middle. The space has no official purpose but attracts lots of people doing everything from roller blading to sun bathing, and it provides views of architectural facades from various centuries. |
