At the base of Butte Montmartre, and close to Sacré Coeur, is a dynamic and diverse neighborhood of immigrants and working class Parisians. Like all of Paris, the population density is high, which creates plenty of pedestrian traffic to support the businesses that front on every street, including cafes, restaurants and shops. The center of the boulevard supports more unusual enterprises such as a small bumper-car ride and magazine/newspaper stands. |
