Parisians have taken a liking to Chrysler-Daimler's innovative new ultra-small car, the Smart. When you drive a car like this it's a lot easier to find a parking place since it's about 8 feet long (compare to a Hummer H2 at 16 feet long). It's also easy on the budget since Smart makes about 70 miles per gallon (a Hummer gets less than 10 miles per gallon). While Americans see a large vehicle as a status symbol or even a sign of patriotism, the French are more practical, and see a large vehicle as a wasteful nuisance. |
