How to change your browser settings for evaluating text alternatives for images

Turning off images in Internet Explorer

• Open the Tools menu;
• choose Internet options
• select the Advanced tab.
• Scroll down to Multimedia.
• Locate the item labeled "Show pictures"
• uncheck the checkbox.
• Press OK.

To turn off images in Mozilla Firefox

• Open the Tools menu.
• Choose Options.
• select Web features.
• Uncheck Load pictures.
• Press OK.

To turn off images in Opera

• press G.
• To turn them back on, press G again until you see the images again. (May take several keypresses.)
