Section 5.1: Defining Accessibility Evaluation and Testing, Part 1
What is accessibility evaluation and testing?
Accessibility evaluation and testing is made up of multiple components designed to determine if a site is applying a specified set of accessibility guidelines or standards and to determine if the site is usable for people with disabilities. The parts that make up an accessibility evaluation include:
- Automated evaluation
- Manual review of the site
- User testing
Accessibility evaluations can also include preliminary evaluations to check on a site that is in development or to get an overview of the types of accessibility issues a site may have.
