Information for StudentsAre you a prospective UT student? If so, please contact the Gender and Sexuality Center if you would like for a staff member to get in touch with you. If you visit UT before starting here as a student, our staff can help guide you to campus resources and answer any questions you may have in regards to services around gender and sexuality at the University. Are you a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning student who has been accepted to UT? When you attend Summer Orientation, be sure to check out the LGBT Welcome Program. Check your orientation schedule for the specific date, time and location. The programs will be held on the third day of each orientation program, 1-2 p.m. in the Student Services Building (SSB). Please contact the GSC if you have any questions about the program. Are you a current student at UT?
We encourage you to visit the center, which is located on the ground floor of the Student Services Building, and we are open Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. At the center, you can check out books and DVDs from our library, talk to a staff member about issues of gender and sexuality, get information about other resources at UT, and just hang out and be yourself. You don't need to have a particular reason to visit the GSC. Feel free to drop by whenever you like. Browse these web pages and e-mail us if you have any questions.
