Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART)

Students who do not use sign language and cannot access information presented orally may need CART services. This involves a court reporter transcribing a lecture into written language that is then displayed on a laptop computer screen for the student. The court reporter may be in the classroom or at a remote location. CART services are arranged by the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Coordinator in SSD.
