** For emergencies, it is highly recommended you place a TTY call through an already established landline telephone hook up to allow the emergency response operator to acquire your location instantly as landline calls are mapped automatically. Utilizing a Videophone (VP) or IP Relay (Internet) services to contact 9-1-1 will not provide the emergency response operator with an immediate address, therefore the caller will be responsible for relaying the location clearly and correctly. VP and IP relay calls to 9-1-1 will result in a delayed emergency response as time is lost when giving the location, as opposed to using a landline telephone system. **
