Welcome Parents to the Volunteer & Service Learning Center! Did you know that over 74% of UT students volunteer?

Volunteering is an excellent way to round out the education your student receives while here at UT. Volunteering can also provide the opportunity to meet other service-minded students and develop leadership skills. For more on this topic, see Why Volunteer?

For those students who are sure they want to volunteer but don't know how to begin, we offer several options:

Students who volunteer have learned the values of good citizenship and community spirit from home. Parents are one of the leading motivators for civic responsibility, voting participation, and community involvement. You can continue your encouragement of strong moral character by becoming involved with the UT Parents' Association. The Parents' Association Parents' Fund provides much needed funding to support service programs through the Service Grants program. With your help, we can encourage more students to learn and grow through service.
