UT Elementary fifth graders were all smiles and cheers as RunTex staff members passed out new running shoes, shorts, and t-shirts to the group. Thanks to the efforts of school volunteer Kim Heilbrun, RunTex owner Paul Carrozza, and the Born to Run Foundation, the students were rewarded for their participation in the Lil' Longhorn Fun Run in March, and were encouraged to continue running. Carrozza challenged the students to run the Congress Avenue Mile on May 23 as a way to continue their efforts.
