Rick Cherwitz, IE Receive Academic Accolades

Rick Cherwitz

Congratulations are in order for Dr. Rick Cherwitz, founder of the Intellectual Entrepreneurship Consortium (IE) program. Dr. Cherwitz and IE were honored during Texas Basketball's Academic Accolades program during the Dec. 1 game, Texas v. Lamar.

IE has served more than 1,000 undergraduates through its highly touted Pre-Graduate Internship program since 2003.

In 2009-2010, IE was the subject of articles and op-ed pieces appearing in such publications as the Washington Post, Diverse Issues in Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, the Journal of Hispanic Higher Education, the Dallas Morning News, the Austin American-Statesman, the Houston Chronicle and the Huffington Post. Presidents and chancellors from numerous universities have prepared endorsements as well, including The Ohio State University, The University of California, Columbia University, The University of North Carolina and Michigan State University, among others.
