The Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) sponsored by the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement is now accepting applications for its 2011 residential and day programs at The University of Texas at Austin. Programs will be offered for students ages 6 to 17. SIG programs have provided a unique curriculum for gifted children for more than 26 years, a connection with peers, and a safe and secure learning environment.
The SIG Residential Program at UT Austin helps students gain independence while taking a wide variety of exciting classes. The program runs from July 10-30, 2011, and is for ages 10 to 17.
The SIG Day Program at UT Austin provides young academically gifted students an opportunity to participate in captivating courses created to enhance existing talents while remaining close to the local community. The program runs from July 11-29, 2011 for ages 6 to 9.
