San Antonio Garage (SAG)

Construction Dates: Spring 2008-Spring 2009

Details: The San Antonio Garage, located at 25th and San Antonio Street, will undergo construction to add two more floors. The existing parking structure was originally constructed in 1992, and it has a ground level and four additional levels including a roof. The original structure was engineered to accommodate the current expansion, so after construction the garage will maintain its exterior appearance of a brick façade and capstones at the top of spandrel walls.

Benefits to Campus: The San Antonio Garage construction project will add 315 spaces to the existing parking garage, increasing garage capacity to 1,040 spaces. This will reduce the number of people on the waiting list for permits in the garage, and will allow Parking and Transportation Services to offer more resident parking for students living in the Almetris Duren Residence Hall.
