University H1N1 Updates

The number of cases of the H1N1 virus has risen to 1,000 in the state of Texas, and five of those are confirmed student cases at the University Health Center. All of our patients were asked to self isolate until they no longer had symptoms.

If you exhibit symptoms of the H1N1 virus please do not come to work, and contact your supervisor letting them know that you have the H1N1 virus. The FAQ link below provides information regarding how to record time off due to the H1N1 virus. Please be sure to record in the notes section that you missed work because of H1N1.

Note: Supervisors, please contact the UHC if any student, faculty or staff member goes to a private doctor and is diagnosed with H1N1.

Additional information about the H1N1 may be found here:

If you have any questions regarding leave issues and the H1N1 virus e-mail hrs-ems@austin.utexas.edu or call 512-232-2327.

Updates to the university’s H1N1 response will be posted here.
