EEO/AA Faculty Data Collection Guidelines

Guidelines for Completion of the 2015

NOTE: Deans, department chairs, and center directors/administrators will receive email instructions regarding the EEO/AA Faculty Data Collection Report on January 11, 2016. The report will be due back to OIE on February 15, 2016.

General Information

As a recipient of federal funds, The University of Texas at Austin is required by Presidential Executive Order 11246 to provide data on all staff members to the Office of Federal Contracts and Compliance Programs (OFCCP), a component of the U.S. Department of Labor. Over the years, we have continued to seek required information from centralized sources, such as Human Resource Services (HRS). We lack only two critical items: faculty recruitment and hiring information and the goals projected for faculty hires.

Who completes this report?

All academic departments that hire faculty. This includes academic departments and centers as well as organized research units.

What do departments report?

All academic departments and centers, as well as organized research units, must complete the Faculty Placement Goal sheet [page 2 of PDF] and cover sheet [page 1]. Tell us the number of faculty you anticipate hiring during the recruitment period September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2016. These faculty would begin Fall 2016.

Then, if your academic department did not conduct searches for faculty during the recruitment period September 1, 2014 to August 31, 2015, you are finished. Please send the goal sheet in with the statement that your department/unit/college did not recruit for faculty during this period.

If your academic department conducted searches for faculty during the recruitment period September 1, 2014 to August 31, 2015, please complete the full report [PDF]. These faculty began Fall 2015.
