The University Co-op is cooperatively owned by the faculty, students and staff of The University of Texas at Austin. Earnings support campus events, grants and activities, including the prestigious Robert W. Hamilton Book Awards to recognize faculty authors and the George H. Mitchell Student Awards for Academic Excellence. The University Co-op has provided more than $2.7 million in grants and program sponsorships with $150,000 going to student organizations. This year, the University Co-op has returned a record $1 million directly to students through patronage refunds.
