One of the most important events of the year at The University of Texas at Austin is Explore UT – a day-long celebration during which we open the doors of our campus to the state. And on March 3, 2012, we once again welcome you to explore one of America’s great teaching and research universities. One of my favorite moments of the day is when buses, filled with Texas school children, arrive on the campus. Their excitement is contagious, and it allows those of us who have been here a while to see this amazing place through new eyes. We like to say “What starts here changes the world.” And for thousands of families, school children, and Texas citizens, a life-long relationship with this university will start at Explore UT. The University belongs to all of Texas, so come see it for yourself and be a Longhorn for a day.
