As the graduation champion for The University of Texas at Austin, Laude is an expert on using data, academic support and incentives to help ensure that students succeed as undergraduates and graduate on time. Laude was Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education at UT Austin from 1997 until 2010 when he became Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. He served as Interim Dean of the College of Natural Sciences in 2011-2012. In 2012 he became Senior Vice Provost.
