Friesen teaches courses such as "Introduction to the New Testament," and "Revelation and Apocalyptic Literature." His research themes relate to the social locations and functions of religion. Friesen's next book, "Paul, Poverty, and Patronage," will examine the economic ideas and practices of the apostle and his communities.
