Durbin, Secretary The Faculty Council REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE TO NOMINATE FACULTY MEMBERS FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC COUNCILS FOR MEN AND FOR WOMEN AND TO THE UNIVERSITY CO-OP BOARD OF DIRECTORS Each spring the Chair of the Faculty Council appoints a committee to nominate a panel of five members of the General Faculty of The University of Texas at Austin for appointment to each of the Intercollegiate Athletics Councils. Each panel shall, upon approval by the Faculty Council, be transmitted to the President with the recommendation that he select from them the new faculty representatives on the Men's and Women's Athletics Councils. If the President declines or, because of rejection of the post by all nominees, is unable to appoint any of the nominees, the President may either request the Council through its committee to make additional nominations or invoke such different procedure for selecting the appointees as he may deem appropriate, provided that such different procedure shall include consultation with the Council's committee before the President offers the appointment to any faculty member.
