DOCUMENTS OF THE GENERAL FACULTY

RECOMMENDATION FROM RULES COMMITTEE
ON U.T. SYSTEM FACULTY ADVISORY COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES

It is expected that the Rules Committee of the General Faculty will have a recommendation on the following proposal before September 20, 1999. The Secretary has classified this item as general legislation. The 10-day circulation rule for general legislation will be satisfied on September 17, 1999.

Notice is hereby given that this legislation may be presented to the Faculty Council for action at its meeting on September 20, 1999. The rules of the General Faculty state that recommendations of the Rules Committee are to be acted on in the first instance by the General Faculty. However, by the nature of this recommendation, it seems appropriate for the Faculty Council to consider the item first. It can be presented to the General Faculty for action at its annual meeting on October 12.
