It puts into the Regents’ Rules what has been the practice at The University of Texas at Austin. Confidential consultation with a faculty committee regarding a possible suspension is guaranteed, but the final determination is made by the President. This process has worked well on our campus. I recommend your favorable consideration of the proposed change."
