IN MEMORIAM
DANIEL FRANKLIN BOBBITT
Daniel Franklin Bobbitt, professor of
law, died on July 4, 1933. He was 40.
Professor Bobbitt was born on November
24, 1892, near Hillsboro, Texas. He served in World War I and was commissioned
a 2nd Lieutenant in 1918. He also completed law school at The University
of Texas at Austin in 1918. He earned a JD from Yale University in 1924.
Professor Bobbitt joined the faculty
of the law school in 1919, where he served as acting dean and taught
for fourteen years.
The Daniel Franklin Bobbitt Fund was
established in his memory by the UT Austin School of Law.
