IN MEMORIAM
ALEXANDER CORBIN JUDSON
Alexander Corbin Judson, professor of
English, was born on December 21, 1883, in Troy, New York. He earned
a bachelor's degree from Pomona College in 1907. He received master's
and doctoral degrees from Yale University in 1908 and 1911, respectively.
Professor Judson joined the faculty
of The University of Texas at Austin in 1911 and resigned in 1923.
Professor Judson edited and coedited
numerous books. Among them were Cynthia's Revels or the Fountain
of Self-Love (1912), A Memorial Volume to Shakespeare and Harvey
(1917), and Seventeenth-Century Lyrics (1927).
