IN MEMORIAM
ROY R. KREZDORN
Roy R. Krezdorn, retired professor of electrical engineering,
died on February 10, 1995. He was 85.
Professor Krezdorn was born on January 30, 1910, in
Shreveport, Louisiana. He received his bachelor's degree from Texas
A&M University in 1932. He earned his master's from The University
of Texas at Austin in 1940.
Professor Krezdorn worked with the Texas Company in
Louisiana. He served as chief electrical engineer with the Lower Colorado
River Authority during the construction of three hydro-electric projects
in the Hill Country. He also operated his own consulting company, Texas
Engineering Associates, for 30 years.
Professor Krezdorn joined the faculty of the University
in 1944, where he taught for 37 years. His academic specialization was
electrical power and energy. He also served as assistant director of
the Bureau of Engineering Research. In 1963 Professor Krezdorn was named
a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
