IN MEMORIAM

JEWEL P. RASCHKE

Jewel P. Raschke, assistant professor of curriculum and instruction, died on August 7, 1985. She was 66.

Professor Raschke was born on April 8, 1919, in Evergreen, Texas. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from The University of Texas at Austin in 1939 and 1942, respectively.

Professor Raschke taught mathematics in the Austin Public Schools, and then joined the faculty of the University in 1960. Her academic specialization was mathematics education. Professor Raschke also carried out research on career patterns among secondary mathematics teachers.
