IN MEMORIAM

FRANK MANN STEWART

Frank Mann Stewart, professor of government, was born on April 8, 1894, in Sherman, Texas. He received bachelor's and master's degrees from The University of Texas at Austin in 1915 and 1917, respectively. He earned a PhD from the University of Chicago in 1928.

Professor Stewart was a member of the faculty of UT Austin from 1918 to 1933. He served with the Bureau of Government Research at the University.

Dr. Stewart coauthored The Constitution and Government of Texas (1930), and wrote A Half-Century of Municipal Reform: The History of the National Municipal League (1950).

Professor Stewart was a member of the American Political Science Association and the Southwestern Political and Social Science Association.
