A-3 Faculty Committee on Committees The Committee on Committees (COC) had only one major item of business during 2002-2003 — providing nominations to the provost and president for committee membership. Early in fall 2002, it provided nominees to the provost for the Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC). On March 24, 2003, it met to consider nominations for the General Faculty Standing Committees for 2003-2004. It also provided nominations for the 2003 ITAC committee so that the committee's membership would be in place at the start of next fall. At its March 24, 2003, meeting, the committee voted unanimously to recommend changing the rules for the election of membership on the COC so that half of the committee rotates on each year (rather than a complete turnover of membership every two years). The committee hopes that the 2003-2004 COC will agree and submit the proper legislation to the Faculty Council.
