2479 DOCUMENTS OF THE GENERAL FACULTY REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE TO NOMINATE FACULTY MEMBERS FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE UNIVERSITY CO-OP BOARD OF DIRECTORS Michael Granof, chair of the Faculty Council Committee to Nominate Faculty Members to the University Co-op Board of Directors, has filed with the secretary of the Faculty Council the report set forth below. Notice is hereby given that this report will be presented to the Faculty Council for action at its meeting on March 17, 2003. At that meeting additional nominations may be made from the floor.   John R. Durbin, Secretary The Faculty Council REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE TO NOMINATE FACULTY MEMBERS FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE UNIVERSITY CO-OP BOARD OF DIRECTORS Each spring the chair of the Faculty Council appoints a committee to nominate a panel of three members of the General Faculty of The University of Texas at Austin for appointment to the University Co-op Board of Directors. Upon approval by the Faculty Council, the names are transmitted to the president with the recommendation that he or she select from them the new faculty representative to the University Co-op Board of Directors. If the president declines or, because of rejection of the post by all nominees, is unable to appoint any of the nominees, the president may either request that the Council, through its committee, make additional nominations or invoke a different procedure for selecting the appointee as he may deem appropriate, provided that such different procedure shall include consultation with the Council's committee before the president offers the appointment to any faculty member. Accordingly, the Faculty Council committee (Michael Granof, chair) submits the nominations set forth below. The present faculty composition of the University Co-op Board of Directors is as follows:   Michael H. Granof, professor, accounting (chair, term open)   Diana M.
