REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE TO NOMINATE FACULTY COUNCIL OFFICERS FOR 2005-2006 (D 3938-3939) Chair Alba Ortiz reported that the nominating committee was composed of the members of the 2004-2005 Faculty Council Executive Committee: Jacqueline Angel (LBJ School), Sue A. Greninger (human ecology), Marvin L. Hackert (chemistry and biochemistry), Martha F. Hilley (music), Archie L. Holmes (electrical and computer engineering), Dean P. Neikirk, (electrical and computer engineering), Alba A. Ortiz (special education), and Linda Reichl (physics). Chair Ortiz called on each candidate to make a brief statement before the vote, which was by secret ballot. A. Election of the chair elect. The committee nominated Linda L. Golden (marketing administration) and Elizabeth Richmond-Garza (English). There were no other nominees. Professor Golden was elected. B. Election to the Executive Committee of a member from the Faculty Advisory Committee on Budgets. The committee nominated Pauline T. Strong (anthropology) and Edward W. (Ted) Odell (mathematics). There were no other nominees. Professor Odell was elected. C. Election to the Executive Committee of a member from the Educational Policy Committee. The committee nominated Archie L. Holmes (electrical and computer engineering) and Desmond F. Lawler (civil engineering). There were no other nominees. Professor Holmes was elected. D. Election to the Executive Committee of a member from the Faculty Welfare Committee. he committee nominated Martha F. Hilley (music) and Maurice M. (Mike) Sharlot (law). There were no other nominees.
