In a memorandum dated April 20, 2006, Provost Ekland-Olson outlined revisions to the Course Instructor Survey (CIS) policy guidelines, which are retroactive to December 8, 2004. Additional reference "What faculty Should Know."

Based on the 2002 Final Report of the President's ad hoc Committee on Non-Tenure-Track Teaching Faculty (D 2488-2493, chair Judith Langlois). In a letter dated January 26, 2006, President Faulkner asked the provost to implement the final recommendations of the committee.

The motion was approved by the Faculty Council at its meeting on March 20, 2006, and forwarded to Janet Dukerich, Graduate Assembly chair, on March 21, 2006. No further action is required by the Faculty Council at this time.

At its meeting on April 17, 2006, the Faculty Council returned the motion to the Educational Policy Committee with recommendations for change. A revised proposal (D 4779-4780) replaces this motion and will be considered by the Faculty Council at its meeting on May 8, 2006.
