RESOLUTIONS.

D 3276-3277 Educational Policy Committee Resolution on the Legislative Requirement. Posted on the Faculty Council Web site on April 4, 2004. Approved by Faculty Council on May 10, 2004. Transmitted to the provost on May 12, 2004. See D 2826 for background information. Approved by the president and transmitted to Chancellor Mark G. Yudof on June 3, 2004.

D 3789-3790 Educational Policy Committee Resolution Endorsing the Recommendation from the Task Force on Enrollment Strategy Limiting Undergraduate Students to Ten Semesters In Residence. Posted on the Faculty Council Web site on March 10, 2005, and presented to the Faculty Council at its meeting on March 21. The items appeared on the Council's agenda at its meeting on April 11, 2005, however, due to lack of time, the items will be addressed at the meeting on May 9, 2005. Approved by the Faculty Council on May 9, 2005 and transmitted to the president on May 10, 2005.

Transmitted to the provost for his consideration and action on June 29, 2005. In a letter dated November 11, 2005, Provost Ekland-Olson made the following recommendation for approval with comment:

"I recommend approval of the recommendation by the Faculty Council that the provost establish a task force.

In a letter dated January 26, 2006, President Faulkner asked the provost to proceed to appoint a task force to examine the recommendation from the Task Force on Enrollment Strategy, which limits undergraduate students to ten semesters in residence. The appointed task force should report specific recommendations to the provost and to the Faculty Council.

D 3841-3842 Educational Policy Committee Proposal to Restrict the Number of Times a Student can Apply for an Internal Transfer. Posted on the Faculty Council Web site on April 11, 2005. Archie Holmes, chair of the Educational Policy Committee, was to present the legislation to the Council at its meeting on April 11, 2005. However, due to lack of time, it was addressed and approved at the meeting on May 9, 2005. Transmitted to the president on May 10, 2005. Transmitted to the provost for his consideration and action on June 29, 2005. In a letter dated November 11, 2005, Provost Ekland-Olson made the following recommendation for approval with comment:

"I recommend approval of this item, as recommended by the Faculty Council. I further recommend for purposes of clarity that the phrase, the student has completed four or more semesters, be changed to read, the student has completed four or more long semesters."

Transmitted to the executive vice chancellor for academic affairs on January 26, 2006. Approved by the executive vice chancellor for academic affairs on February 1, 2006.

D 4250-4253 Final Report and Recommendations from the ad hoc Committee to Study Course Instructor Surveys (CIS). Posted on the Faculty Council Web site on November 18, 2005, in portable document format and subsequently numbered on November 30, 2005. The Faculty Council approved the recommendations as amended at its meeting on November 21, 2005. (Also see D 4133-4135).

D 4802-4815 Senate of College Councils Resolutions concerning curricular reform, attachments to the minutes of the regular Faculty Council meeting of April 17, 2006 (Appendix A). No action by the Faculty Council is required.
