The president appointed Professor Sue Alexander Greninger to the University Co-op Board of Directors (2006-2010) to fill the position that will open when the term of Professor Mark P. Gergen expires.

Professor Edmund T. (Ted) Gordon
to serve on the Men's
Intercollegiate Athletics Council and Professor
Isabella Cunningham
to serve on the Women's
Intercollegiate Athletics Council. Both are four-year appointments beginning
September 1, 2006, expiring on August 31, 2010.

Report of the Committee to Nominate Faculty Council Officers 2006-2007. Posted on the Faculty Council Web site on May 4, 2006. At its meeting on May 8, 2006, the Faculty Council elected the following officers to serve on the Faculty Council Executive Committee for 2006-2007: Douglas C. Burger, chair elect, associate professor, computer sciences; Faculty Advisory Committee on Budgets: Cynthia Osborne Blaha, assistant professor, public affairs; Educational Policy Committee: David M. Hillis, professor, integrative biology; Faculty Welfare Committee: Martha F. Hilley, professor, music. Also serving on the 2006-2007 executive committee are Randall Parker (special education), incoming chair of the Graduate Assembly; and continuing members Linda L. Golden (marketing administration), who will chair the Council in 2006-2007, Alba A. Ortiz (special education), who is this year's chair, and Sue Alexander Greninger (human ecology), Faculty Council secretary. |
