From: kleinman@mail.utexas.edu Subject: Protest Date: December 1, 2006 6:30:26 PM CST To: fc@uts.cc.utexas.edu I, Leonard Kleinman, protest the adoption of the Motion to Change the Degree Requirements for All Undergraduates at UT Austin for the following reasons: (1) It is overambitious and will not work, while wasting resources. (2) We are supposed to encourage students to graduate in 4 years. If adopted, this will make it very difficult for most students to succeed in that. Physics students will need 132 hours to graduate and I suspect Engineering students will need even more. (3) One size does not fit all.
