From: radin@math.utexas.edu Subject: protest Date: December 4, 2006 11:06:16 AM CST To: fc@uts.cc.utexas.edu To the Faculty Council: This is a protest to the Motion to Change the Degree Requirements for All Undergraduate Students at UT Austin (D 5155-5163), approved by the Faculty Council on November 20, 2006. My main concern is that too many significant features have not been determined, in particular the role of science and technology in the proposed core. There has been controversy on this and other features and it seems unreasonable to move ahead until the faculty is more comfortable with the focus of the proposal.
