Meet the parking and traffic needs of on-going construction

Partial closure of 23rd Street and loss of spaces due to construction and renovation of the North End Zone of the Darrel K. Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium |

Discussed future loss of spaces in F11 and F16 |

No spaces were returned from current construction projects |

UT bought the old Southwestern Bell Corporation building at 1616 Guadalupe, which included a parking garage. Unknown number of spaces will go online on July 1, 2007 |

Discussed finding ways of providing PTS more support with additional resources and funding to stimulate pedestrian and alternative transportation

Committee had many discussions regarding the bicycle program at the University. The P&T Committee voiced their continued support of the bike program and will further encourage its members to be active in the bicycle sub-committee and work with the bicycle consultant to make the bike program a success throughout campus. |

Establish traffic and parking regulations and review annually a system of priorities for permits to be issued in reserved areas

Increased parking rates for garages and surface spaces |

Clarified other existing regulations for better service and enforcement |

Approved a standardized policy for golf carts on campus |

No recommendations were made for the composition or operation of the Parking and Traffic Appeals Panel. Gordon Novak was elected chair elect for the 2007-08 P&T Committee. |
