Final approval received from the Coordinating Board on February 20, 2008. However, on February 11, 2009, it was determined by the provost’s office that the letter dated February 20, 2008 was referring to D 4686-4710. Final approval received per message from the provost's office on March 24, 2009:
As an academic change, UT System approval is sufficient. They raised the issue of Core compliance to notify UT of a possible problem. Cale McDowell replied relating that we were in compliance. In any case, as stated in The December 18th letter (attached) THECB, "changes in curriculum do not require approval from the Coordinating Board." D 5712-5717 is a curriculum change.
