Approved by the Faculty Council on a no-protest basis on December 14, 2009, and transmitted to the provost on December 15, 2009. Approved by the provost on behalf of the president and transmitted to the executive vice chancellor for academic affairs on January 22, 2010. Approved by UT System on February 2, 2010. Final approval received from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board on February 10, 2010.

In a letter dated January 28, 2010, written recommendations regarding the legislation were requested from Provost Leslie and Vice President Ohlendorf.In a letter dated March 18, 2010, the president upon the recommendations of Provost Leslie and Vice President Ohlendorf granted final approval.

Final approval resides with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

D 7975 Report of the Committee to Nominate Faculty Members for Appointment to the University Co-op Board of Directors. Posted on the Faculty Council web site on March 12. 2010. Approved by the Faculty Council on March 22, 2010. Transmitted to the president on March 30, 2010. In a letter dated March 31, 2010, President Powers notified the secretary that he had appointed Elizabeth Cullingford (professor, English) to serve a four-year term beginning September 1, 2010 through August 31, 2014.

D 7980-7981 Proposal from the Faculty Rules and Governance Committee Recommending Changes to the Voting Rights for Non-Tenure Track Faculty. Posted on the Faculty Council web site on April 8. 2010. The secretary has classified this proposal as major legislation. It was presented to the Faculty Council at its meeting on March 22, 2010. The proposal was returned to the committee for revisions, and was replaced by D 8065-8066, which will be presented and voted on by the Council at its meeting on May 10, 2010. It will be then be sent to the General Faculty on a no-protest basis.

D 7986 Resolution Affirming the Minimal Standards for Governance Procedures for the Colleges and Schools at the University of Texas at Austin. Posted on the Faculty Council web site on March 29. 2010. Endorsed by the Faculty Council at it's meeting held March 22, 2010. An informational copy was transmitted to the president for his comment on March 29, 2010. In a letter dated April 5, 2010, President Powers acknowledged receipt of the resolution.
