RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR UT CHANCELLOR CIGARROA’S LETTER ON THE ISSUE OF CONCEALED HANDGUNS ON CAMPUSES

The Faculty Council strongly and unequivocally supports Chancellor Cigarroa's February 24, 2011, letter to Governor Perry regarding the issue of concealed handguns on campuses. We share all of the concerns he expressed and concur that, on balance, concealed handguns will make each campus a less safe environment.
